Description

Gifted students thrive when they are given individual attention, resources, and encouragement to grow, but why aren’t we doing that for every student? Gifted educator Marcia Gentry says that when you remove a gifted student from their classroom, you are affecting the rest of the students. Instead, she offers Total School Cluster Grouping as the solution to helping both gifted and average students thrive.

In this 3-module course, you’ll learn about the difference that Total School Cluster Groups can make for all of your students. Ms. Gentry says that when all regular classroom teachers are equipped to provide cluster groups, gifted students can receive full-time gifted instruction.

After completing this course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of:

  • The difference between Generic Cluster Groups and Total School Cluster Groups
  • Why Total School Clustering is important
  • Total School Cluster Grouping definition, features, and goals
  • How to implement Total School Cluster groups in your classroom

Great information, but presentation often lacked visuals/videos that would’ve kept me more engaged.

  2. Marc – MANSFIELD ISD (verified owner)

This was a great introduction to Total School Cluster Grouping. Also, the Harry Potter references really helped me to grasp the concept!

  3. Michael – PROSPER ISD (verified owner)

TSCG is a useful method for building class lists so that teachers can meet all students’ individual needs so that all students can achieve.

  4. Adriana – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

This training was super interesting! It was full of useful information that I feel would benefit a lot of teachers and students alike.

  5. Peter – Private Pay (verified owner)

Great data, may or may not be picked up by the district as each district may not believe in the data.

  6. Ilene – SAN DIEGO ISD (verified owner)

    great course! very insightful!

  7. Ashley – VAN WERT CITY (verified owner)

This course was very interesting! We already use some of the pieces mentioned, but I would love to explore this further. The main goal of this model is to have ALL students increasing their achievement level and for the teachers to be happy.

  8. Katherine – MERCEDES ISD (verified owner)

    It was very interesting.

  9. Rebecca – UNITED ISD (verified owner)

All the focus on statistics was way too much. The 3rd module kept repeating itself too much.

  10. Juan – SHARYLAND ISD (verified owner)
