Presenter Bio

Andi McNair currently teaches Gifted and Talented students at a small rural school at Bosqueville ISD in Texas. She has been a teacher for over a decade, teaching 4th/5th grade math before moving into gifted education. As a parent of gifted children, she is a strong advocate for gifted education. She regularly speaks at TAGT (Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented) and other conferences, particularly sharing her passion for innovative education. Andi is married to her high school sweetheart. They have three children and live in Waco, TX.

    This course was super informative! It gave a lot of well detailed information on what the Genius hour is, but was really exceptional is that a lot of the information given could easily be used with other projects other than just the Genius Hour project. She provided a lot of information on how to go about using apps and websites to incorporate technology into the students projects and even how to keep up with monitoring her students. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for ideas on how to organize and teach elementary and middle school students how to go about in creating a meaningful project.
