Brenda Davis is a school counselor with over 20 years of experience as an educator. She serves on the Texas Association for the Gifted & Talented Board of Directors. Her interests include gifted education and program design, social and emotional issues related to gifted females, and creativity.

    I was not a fan of this course.

    This is a good overview of using the Six Hat strategy.

    This strategy is classroom ready, except for drawing or buying different colored hats.
    The presenter was not very polished.

    This seems like it should be taught since elementary and reenforced during all grades for greatest efficacy. Even if it is not taught by lower levels it is worthwile to teach in any level though it may not be as effective due to time required to master the skill.

    The course states that this is for secondary as well as elementary, but most examples were geared toward elementary. I would like to see this course expanded to show secondary classroom examples.
