There is a far more engaging and effective way to teach high school English classes to gifted students than the common approach of teaching each class as a stand-alone unit. By merging Pre-AP English 1, 2 and AP Language into one cohesive program you can gain the maximum benefit for students.

Description

There is a far more engaging and effective way to teach high school English classes to gifted students than the common approach of teaching each class as a stand-alone unit. By merging Pre-AP English 1, 2 and AP Language into one cohesive program you can gain the maximum benefit for students.

This online course will show you how to focus each Pre-AP course around specific skill sets and themes, how to zero in on each individual student’s specific abilities and challenges, and how to incorporate all three Pre-AP courses into one program designed in such a way that students graduate with a full arsenal of writing and analytical skills that have been steadily built upon and expanded in a purposeful way.

  5. Peter – TEAYS VALLEY LOCAL (verified owner)

Great way of showing how to build into an AP English class across the curriculum. I’m glad to have listened to the AP teacher prior to this section. It allowed me to better see how the alignment works and it’s incredible to see these people work together. Still a little lengthy, but good nonetheless. Definitely took a lot of ideas away from this one and the series.

  6. Darcy – BOERNE ISD (verified owner)

    Beneficial

This course was just a “here’s how I did it” course and not a research-based best practice course.
