Presenter Bio

Timothy Gangwer is a pioneer in the field of visual learning and a dedicated educator of 26 years. He has served as visual literacy consultant to the Ministry of Education, Paris, France; Ministry of Education, Toranomon, Japan; Mediterranean Association of International Schools, Casablanca, Morocco; Association of International Schools in Africa, Abidjan, Ivory Coast; and as a trainer for the United States Department of Education’s National Diffusion Network. He is an international keynote speaker, educational consultant, and the director and co-founder of the Visual Teaching Alliance. A former elementary teacher of students with learning disabilities, he is also an award-winning digital artist and songwriter.

    It was eye opening to see the data on the importance of visualization. Many students have never seen some of the concepts that we are teaching. Without the visuals how to we expect them to know what we are talking about? Words are valuable but visualization with words will impact learning in a much deeper sense of understanding.
