Presenter Bio

John DeLandtsheer has been a leader in gifted education throughout California for over 30 years and is a recognized leader, author, and resource to teachers and administrators in the area of gifted and talented education. John has taught all grades, K-12. He was an elementary school principal for fourteen years and has taught in the Gifted and Talented Education Certificate Program through the University of California at Riverside for over twenty years. John works with hundreds of teachers each year providing instructional strategies, classroom demonstration lessons, administrative assistance and program analysis.

    Some ideas are simply not true. Classical music isn’t complicated. He leaves off reading as a way to improve intelligence, when it is number one. Other than that, it is a really good course. I love his approach for GATE approaches for everyone, not teaching to the test, etc.
