Presenter Bio

Shannon Anderson has taught for 25 years, from first grade through college level. The highlight of her teaching career was being named one of the Top 10 Teachers to inspire the Today Show. She has served as the gifted coordinator for her school corporation, as well as a writing coach. Shannon is also an award-winning children’s book author and loves to do author visits.     Great Social Emotional training. I find a lot of this ideas very useful for all teachers not only Teachers in GT settings. We really need more of these activiites and strategies in all classrooms so students get their social emotional needs met in case they are not having this at home or even to create a feeling of belonging from everyone to everyone in school. We need more kindness and tolerance in our world. Our classroom is where it can start and spread everywhere else.
