It was enlightening to see how underrepresented students are underrepresented from the beginning. They are facing challenges that don’t allow them to be recognized or be successful in gt programs. It was interesting to learn about the different populations that Dr. Cash has worked with to come up with the critical skills that will help them be successful. It was difficult to follow the presentation at times because he would seemingly go off topic, but later you could see the connection and relevance to the skills he was explaining. It didn’t help that his live audience was visible and at times in the way of seeing him.

I absolutely loved this course. Even though I teach K it brings many useful ideas to mind that we could easily implement in the classroom. This is out of the box thinking and the students need these kinds of activities.

This will help with my flexibility, but is aimed more to elementary students.
