Description
While it’s exciting to see our students face-to-face again, we need to understand that students’ regulatory learning skills may have diminished during the time of virtual instruction. Once we know how our students need extra support in this transition, we can adjust our instruction to help meet their needs.
In this course, Dr. Richard Cash will share with you what students have told him about their fears and anxieties related to returning to the classroom. These students want you to know what you can do to make the transition back to the classroom smooth and successful. Armed with this information and tips from Dr. Cash, you’ll be able to kick off in-person learning and create a classroom environment that helps your students thrive.
After taking this course, you will better understand:
- The impacts deregulation can have on learning
- How to identify anxiety, stress, and/or depression
- How to infuse strategies of self-regulation and social/emotional learning into your daily curriculum
