Description
All teachers can identify the underachievers in their classes, but did you know there are “hidden underachievers” waiting to be challenged? In this course Carolyn Coil identifies the characteristics of underachievers with an emphasis on this hidden group. You will learn the patterns and behaviors of students who don’t push themselves and strategies for challenging them to rise to their potential.
- Five different types of underachievers with emphasis on the “hidden” group
- Definitions and patterns of underachievement
- Graphic organizers of ways different underachievers show up in our classroom
- Strategies – is there supposed to be more to this?

Awesome! I have 3 GT children of my own. I wish I was able to understand the Underachiever GT student sooner. The course was filled with lots of helpful information that is useful in guiding the GT Underachiever.

This was the best GT course I have taken in a very long time. I learned so many things from Dr. Coil and had many “a-ha” moments. Everything that she discussed can be applied to my kindergarten students all the way up to college. That is a great workshop!

The course was well paced and interesting. My only issues were that the sound cut out at times when the video was still playing.
