Description
All teachers can identify the underachievers in their classes, but did you know there are “hidden underachievers” waiting to be challenged? In this course Carolyn Coil identifies the characteristics of underachievers with an emphasis on this hidden group. You will learn the patterns and behaviors of students who don’t push themselves and strategies for challenging them to rise to their potential.
- Five different types of underachievers with emphasis on the “hidden” group
- Definitions and patterns of underachievement
- Graphic organizers of ways different underachievers show up in our classroom
- Strategies – is there supposed to be more to this?

I like that the use of real life experiences are used as examples. It made me reflect on my teaching skills. Have I experienced that, and did I do the right thing. Very much an eye opener.
