How can you design learning contracts that help students engage with relevant material, even when they aren’t receiving direct instruction? Join Alesha Haybin, Coordinator of Gifted Services at the Licking County ESC to learn how she’s used learning contracts over her 20-year career in education to nurture student learning without overwhelming classroom teachers.

Presenter Bio

Alesha Haybin is currently a Coordinator of Gifted Services at the Licking County Educational Service Center, and serves as the Scholarship Committee Chair on the OAGC Governing Board and is Past-President of Gifted Coordinators of Central Ohio (GCCO). She has been an educator for almost 20 years with 17 of those working directly with gifted students and their families. She has found the most profound impact can be made as a result of relationships that nurture the social and emotional development of each student while stretching them intellectually. Alesha holds a B.A. in elementary education and a M.S. in educational psychology and gifted instruction. Born and raised in Oregon, Alesha most enjoys going on adventures with her family and visiting the beautiful Northwest.
