Description

In this course, Mr. Stanley teaches educators how independent studies can be used to challenge gifted students by using their passions and learning styles to create in-depth projects.

Presenter Bio

Todd Stanley is the author of 12 teacher education books including Project-Based Learning for Gifted Students: A Handbook for the 21st  Century Classroom, and his latest When Smart Kids Underachieve in the Classroom: Practical Solutions for Teachers. He served as a classroom teacher for 18 years and is currently the gifted services coordinator for Pickerington Local Schools where he lives with his wife and two daughters.     This was a fabulous course. I feel that the last question was tricky because even though it is not required to talk to every student, a teacher should always allow every single student to share their learning. This is not only for them to explain their thinking, but it gives them a chance to show off their hard work and progress. Everyone should have a chance to share.
