Presenter Bio
Kim Tredick is currently the Director of Student Support Services in Castaic School District in Southern California. She has served as lead curriculum writer for J Taylor Education over the past seven years and has been using Depth and Complexity for two decades as a teacher, principal, and district administrator. Kim is the author of the best-selling Differentiation Smart Reference Guide, which is used in over 30,000 classrooms. As one of the original participating educators during the first PD rollout of Depth and Complexity in the 1990s, Kim’s training provides teachers with practical best practices for using all the components of the D & C Framework.

Kim has great ideas of how to implement this concept into all of your instruction. It was interesting to see how one template can be used across different grade levels and subject areas. The icon idea allows for levels of differentiation since lessons are guided by students’ own engagement and their evaluation of their thinking.
