In this innovative, hands-on course, Joyce Juntune, Ph.D., will show you strategies and lesson activities that self-level for each student. Practical advice paired with informative learning theory will help you apply the activities in your classroom and help each student achieve their potential.

In this 3-hour course, you will learn:

  • Theories of cognitive development that help you apply strategies effectively
  • How to help students become independent learners
  • Fanned activities for groups and individuals that allow students to take learning as far as they desire
  • How to adapt curriculum using these strategies

This course is aligned with 2016 ODE Teacher Competencies a, b, c, f, g and NAGC Teacher Preparation Standards 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 5.2. 

Dr. Juntune is a renowned consultant, trainer, professor, and lecturer with more than 45 years of experience in the field of education. She is an instructional associate professor at Texas A&M University, and she teaches graduate-level courses in the areas of intelligence, child and adolescent development, educational psychology, giftedness, and creativity. Dr. Juntune earned her master’s degree in curriculum instruction from St. Cloud University and her Ph.D. in educational psychology from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Joyce Juntune is a renowned consultant, trainer, professor, and lecturer with more than 45 years of experience in the field of education. She is an instructional associate professor at Texas A&M University, and she teaches graduate-level courses in her expert areas of intelligence, child and adolescent development, educational psychology, giftedness, and creativity. She has focused the majority of her career on the areas of intelligence and gifted and talented education. Dr. Juntune has served as the executive director for the National Association for Gifted Children and the Institute for Applied Creativity at Texas A&M University.
