It used to be that intelligence and giftedness were solely based on I.Q. and test scores. As our understanding of giftedness and the brain has expanded, the means of assessing and identifying gifted students have also expanded. In this course, “Screening, Assessment, and Identification of the Gifted”, Joyce Juntune Ph.D., draws from her vast knowledge and experience in gifted education to present invaluable tools for identifying gifted students using a variety of different methods.

Presenter Bio
Dr. Joyce Juntune is a renowned consultant, trainer, professor, and lecturer with more than 45 years of experience in the field of education. She is an instructional associate professor at Texas A&M University, and she teaches graduate-level courses in her expert areas of intelligence, child and adolescent development, educational psychology, giftedness, and creativity. She has focused the majority of her career on the areas of intelligence and gifted and talented education. Dr. Juntune has served as the executive director for the National Association for Gifted Children and the Institute for Applied Creativity at Texas A&M University.

Please either lower the volume of the male narrator voice or raise the levels for Dr. Juntune. As it stands, I had to raise the volume to be able to hear the good doctor, and then my eardrums get blasted out when we get to a slide that’s narrated by the male voice. This has been true across all 6 of the courses I’ve been enrolled in.
