This is very helpful to understand the multiple intelligences in the classroom, a way to keep students engaged is to understand their cognitive and emotional level in order to differentiate lesson plans that are beneficial based on the student’s needs.

I really enjoyed this course. It made reflect on my own children as well as those I have taught.

  8. Emily – BASTROP ISD (verified owner)

I’m assuming this will be anonymous …. There were several things Dr.J said that I don’t agree with, directly contradicts previous professors or researchers I’ve learned from or read about, or that weren’t supported with evidence. Also her mindset is very much of a previous generation (for ex: she said she thinks there’s no reason to put race on a form because it’s not a direct correlation to SES but shes not taking into account how race is going to affect their home life, opinions about school, safety at school, and much more). Someone younger with fresher ideas would be preferred. Also I need evidence for her many claims (like “her saying that doing an assignment the kid doesn’t like but doing it for the teacher is intrinsic” well I believe that’s extrinsic). Just too much opinion for me.

  9. Jessica – EANES ISD (verified owner)

This was very informative on going through the different needs of gifted students.

  10. Kimberly – SPRING ISD (verified owner)

This course was very informative. I learned things I did not know before.
