Description
Differentiation in the classroom might be a little bit like riding a bike — you never forget how to do it, but you can also always learn a new trick or two! In this course, Diane Heacox, Ed.D., unpacks two important strategies: tiered assignments and flexible instructional grouping. If you are not using these two strategies correctly, you may not even be using differentiation.
In this 1-hour course, you will learn:
- The principles of tiered assignments and flexible grouping
- How to design tiered assignments
- How to determine student readiness
- Other methods of tiered assignments

This was a good course. She gave so many real-life examples, and asked good questions. I really appreciated how she took the time to talk about what some of the examples would look in the classic cooperative groups and how that could take away from the teacher’s goals.
