Description

Every school strives to keep every student safe and healthy. Not all health emergencies can be avoided, however, so it’s essential for school employees to be prepared to address emergencies as they arise. This includes having an established emergency plan, understanding the responsibilities of schools and school employees, and being familiar with the immediate actions that need to be taken in common emergencies.
In this 1-hour course you will learn:
  • The three main categories of school emergencies
  • What Texas law requires schools and school employees to do to address and prevent on-campus health emergencies
  • What preventative measures schools and school employees should take to address health emergencies
  • What immediate actions school employees should take during a health emergency

This course is also available in Spanish.
