I learned a lot about paying attention to students who might be depressed, such as :
1) Do not isolate the student. Possibly encourage them to speak to others.
2) Pay attention to the warning signs of Depression.
3) Listen, Listen, Listen
4) Accept the Concerns. (Don’t blow them off.)
5) Educate Yourself.
6) Invite the person to meditate, commune with Nature, or take a breather / even just take a walk to get water.
7) Encourage them to build a personal philosophy of life.

I thought that it would have been easier to follow her lecture if the slides had been up the entire time, instead of switching back and forth between them and her giving the lecture.
